Saturday 23rd May
We are packing up and heading into St Helen’s to stay at the Hillcrest Van park, need some power and nice hot showers. Was a 5 minus frost this morning. I went down to get a sunrise and the mist on the ocean from the air temperature was real eerie, beautiful, but the sunrise was nothing to get excited about..Had a nice day and got set up in the park.

Thursday 21st May
We camped in the bush at Cosy Corner up in the Bay Of Fires, East Coast of Tasmania, there are several bush camps and this one was nice and big and private also sheltered. Here are some images of the 1st day here. The colour of the rocks here are unreal, photos tell there own story.
Monday 4th May
Well we went for a drive out to Dip Falls and then spent some time in the bush, then on our way home called into Edgecombe beach, weather was turning bad.
I found it fascinating how the farmers make dips in the paddocks to hold the water, smart really.

152 steps down to the bottom to see the lower part of the falls, yes we did it.

This is where we have been camping, its free around the back on one side, and for power on the other side its $10 a night + $3 for showers and toilets, deposit for key which you get back when you hand the key in. Very lovely meals as well with specials on most nights of the week.

Friday 1st May
Woke up early at Rebecca’s Lagoon and it was a frost, so got a fire going and my good old blanket wrapped around me in the sun. We packed up from here and went and checked out Nelsons Bay then on out to the lookout called The edge of the world, beautiful beach, rocks, logs all over the beach, really lovely area, but not a lot here once you have been here for a few days.

Looked across at where we are going to camp and there’s all this smoke. The water here runs into the mouth of the Arthur River.
Lots of room here in the Parks and wildlife. This area is just one of many connected to the camping area.
I’m keeping an eye on this, but we are sure its a controlled burn off. That is the toilet block, really lovely and clean.

Wednesday 30th April
Went for a drive today and did the Tarkine circuit, called into Trowutta, Rebecca’s Lagoon and Couts Beach.

These signs are alway after the sign about the endangered Tasmanian Devil, we think because of the noise when you drive over them it may scare them off and there fore save a life.

Wednesday 15th April 3rd day on Bruny Island
We got sorted nice and early this morning as we are going to the Cape Lighthouse. Weather was good, windy and bit chilly but had a great time, Coast line here is so rough and beautiful. Saw a Albino Wallaby, there are quiet a few here on the island, the drive back to van park was interesting scenery, the island is bigger than I thought. We have been staying at the van park but a mistake in our booking gave us a very flash house for a night so we moved base.

Cape Bruny Lighthouse, the kids walking up in the bushes on the path. This had 1836 A.D. on the front, it is not working now and cant be used by the public to look inside, shes getting old.

Tuesday 14th April
Had a good nights sleep and were up early to go on a boat trip on the Bruny Island Adventure cruise. To many photos to show all of them but picked out what I hope will interest people. Was a fantastic day.
Got up early and went down the beach, caught the early light on the foot way and seating, very beautiful for a walk down the beach.

Monday 13th April
Well the four of us are heading off to catch the ferry to Bruny Island for four nights, Dons son and his partner are there as well, we have met up from different directions for this trip. This is our 1st day, we are based at Adventure bay in a van park in a onsite van we are sharing. These photos are pretty much self explanatory, just beach scenes and rocks with amazing colours.
Stopped for a picnic, so cold we were sitting with Katie’s blankets around us so much fun.
Tuesday 7th April
Haven’t done a lot over the last few days but went for a beach drive from Rocky Cape camping spot, out to the National Park, Boat Harbour Beach and to Sisters Beach, then went back to Port Latta to get permission to cut through someones yard to get down to some rocks we wanted to photograph. The winds were very cold today and wasn’t doing me a lot of good, so not to many pics today.

No photo’s of Sisters Beach called into this shop but no where for camping if you have anything bigger than a small campervan, nice wee place though.
This area is amazing with a lot of history. This piece of land called Table Cape is an actual plug from a volcano.

Looking towards the Tulip Farm, they have all been picked, Ive been told it is a picture to be seen when the tulips are in bloom.
On our way back saw this art work on a rock face, don’t know what it means as there was no plaque.

Thursday 2nd April
Got up to a very cloudy morning. Our ranger from Forth arrived, we had a chat. Cooked breakfast and it’s raining hard now but ranger said it will clear by lunch time, he was right. Once it cleared we went for a drive into Penguin, did a few jobs, water in Jerry cans etc..dropped what we needed to off at the camper then headed for Burnie .Big place and busy, a pulp town by the looks of the logs etc.on the docks for export.Went up to the lookout was lovely view. Got back, cold and so we used the time to down load images, had the gene going etc, gas heater on and hotty filled up.
Friday 3rd April Easter
Well I needed to go into Smithton to see a Doctor and after my visit we decided to do the scenic trip back to Rocky Cape where we are now staying. Saw some lovely wee towns on our way back.
