Lake MacDonald Scout Camping.

October 4th Friday

We were already to head off as soon as Don got home from work. Headed of to Cooroora Scout camp on the shores of Lake MacDonald. It was a gathering of the Australian Campertrailer.org group, were very excited about getting out in the camper again and a bonus to put some faces to some of the people on the forum that I chat and leave comments to. Friends of mine were already there, we got to the camp before dark, set up the trailer and settled in for a cuppa with Kate & Chris. Then wondered around and introduced ourselves to the ones that were close, sorted tea out and settled in for a good nights sleep.

October 5th Saturday – October 7th Monday.

Woke to a lovely fine day on this morning and got  to meet all the other campers from the trailer group over morning tea, lovely bunch.  The area of the camping is nice and big, lovely clean toilets and showers, place is a bit run down but cant fault it as far as cleanliness. Lake was a love spot to cool down as the weather was pretty warm. Spent time on the Lake, went for bush walk, sat around the camp fire in the evenings, just really relaxed. We were here until the Monday, it was the Queens birthday weekend.
