Was a wet night so let the canvas dry before leaving and 3 Kookaburras were sitting laughing. Travelled to Oatlands and camped the night. Nice sunset, very cool and foggy later in the evening.
This has been our camped site for 5 nights at Dora Point.

Odd shower of rain.Headed into St Helen’s and had Fish & Chips at the Skippers which was an old working boat now converted to Takeaway restaurant, really great food. Was eating my tea this evening early and noticed a movement and looked down, there was a Black snake about 12 inches from my foot, so I reached out to get my camera but it retreated back, so I banged my foot on the ground and it went under the camper, but later on I went around to the back of the camper and here it is again looking at me, so banged my foot lots and it went back into the bushes. No photo.

Had a great day, did a couple of things in St Helen’s, then went to Gardens, such a lovely drive up there, did all the bays, walked every where. The boulders and rocks are huge. I found a huntsman spider in my clothes draw, was not happy, so did what I do and pull everything out, spray like crazy then put all back.
Friday 3rd Feb
Had a very relaxing day, weather perfect. Don went into St Helen’s and I stayed back at camp. Did bird watching, washing etc. No photos for day 2.
The water is so clear one thinks its shallow but it isn’t.

Went for a drive up the coast, very crowded at the other camp spots. Its 21 deg and in shorts getting some sunlight, feels great. Here’s some shots of the day.

Weather has changed our plans again, we’er off to the east coast its lovely and warm, sunny and no wind. 🙂 Camped at Dora Point.
