Tasmanian Devil | Judy's Trekabout

Monday 1st June

We had a day out at the Natureworld in Bicheno, they are doing a wonderful job of saving the Tasmanian Devil, as they run a breeding program and release them to where they will be safe from the Cancer Facial Tumors. By going to the park you are actually helping them with your fee’s to keep this program going. Here are some of the animals that I got photos of.

Sign on road side, cant miss it. White Peacock, I assume it’s Albino, but not sure. Peacock Emu’s playing around. Goose Ducks, not good lighting but I took it as they are so colourful Deer running, got spooked. Big Yarn, they do this when they are stressed, Tasmanian Devil Native Hen, this one was really going off. Kangaroo looking for tidbits. Tasmanian Devil, she was chasing the male away. Kangaroo and big bub. Wedgetail eagle. Tasmanian Devil Wombat Finally got to look down the throat of a Tasmanian Devil.

Wednesday 30th April

Went for a drive today and did the Tarkine circuit, called into Trowutta, Rebecca’s Lagoon and Couts Beach.

Ancient forest Sink hole Looking down into the sink hole on one side only. Sink hole on the other side of the arch. Wall of the arch. Looking up through the hole of the arch from the side with the water in the sink hole, all very airy down here. Lots of these signs around this area. Arthur River These signs are alway after the sign about the endangered Tasmanian Devil, we think because of the noise when you drive over them it may scare them off and there fore save a life. Rebecca’s Lagoon, endered up camping here but in the paddocks to the right of this photo. Couts Beach Rocks at Couts Camping with the cows again at Rebecca;s Lagoon. Beach is over the dunes on the right.
